I WANT YOU TO REGISTER TO VOTE!

In the United States, when a person turns 18 years old, they officially become an adult.

Along with the adult status, people earn the legal right to vote.

In a country like America, voting determines the leaders of the people, as well as policies enacted to monitor everyday life of the people.

Believe it or not, some people have not upheld their right to vote…and have simply not registered or even bothered to actually, physically travel to the polls to vote during national, regional, or local elections.

In order to see the changes we talk about wanting and to make sure our voices are heard, we must vote.

Our cast ballots force governments to recognize and listen to our local voices.

America, a democracy, needs our voices, our opinions, our votes in order to make progress.

The following video features First Lady Michelle Obama, urging citizens to register, and go out and vote!

I encourage and challenge you to research what it takes to vote in your state.

Then, register to vote in the November 2012 National Election!

Make your voice count in future elections by VOTING -- your voice matters!
